VIPs  from all over the world praised highly on this Digilog performance  renewed and given a new name &#8220;Seoul Rainbow – For 2010 colored flower,  bird and fish&#8221;, as a beautiful combination of extremely realistic  hologram and live performance of renowned traditional artists.</p>

<div><strong>Korean maestros work together again</strong><br />
The sold-out performance Digilog Samulnori in January has proved  4D performance&#8217;s potential and the audience&#8217;s craving for this new  field. Four months after the first show, the long-expected second  performance opened the UNESCO world conference on May 25<sup>th</sup>.<br />
Sir  O-Young Lee, who directed and wrote the scenario, performance director  Jae-soon Pyo, Pansori artist Sook-Sun An, Samulnori artist Duk-Soo Kim,  traditional dancer Soo-Ho Kook, In Nam soon, modern dancer Yook Wan  soon, and fashion designer Young-Hee Lee collaborated to create even  greater show. The show introduced the excellence of Korean culture and  the advanced digital technology of Korea, the IT powerhouse, to  international leaders in culture and education.</p>

The second UNESCO World Conference on Art Education following  the successful first conference in Lisbon, 2006, is an international  assembly for enhancing and advocating the importance of arts education  hosted in Asia for the first time. It was a moment to acknowledge that  the synergy of Korean traditional arts and the cutting-edge technology  including the interaction technology that actively communicates with the  audience, not to mention the state-of-art hologram, transformed 4D  Digilog art into a new genre. This groundbreaking performance, also  broadcasted live by KBS, impressed many international participants, and  contributed to the promotion of Korean culture for the global community.</p>

<div><strong>Gesture &amp; Sound sensing 4D art creates a heartwarming  impact</strong><br />

Live hologram that actually works with the performer and  real-time interaction technology that displays various vivid images  according to the performer&#8217;s sound and movement have become d&#8217;strict&#8217;s  most distinctive characteristics. Gesture &amp; Sound sensing technology  introduced last June at the new product&#8217;s launching presentation is  under continuous development; this human-friendly technology is now a  backbone of the 4D performance.<br />
On the stage, the performers and the  graphic images harmonized perfectly; butterflies danced to the sound of  violins, and alphabets rose from children&#8217;s toes while they&#8217;re tap  dancing like splashing water. The rising 4D performing arts field  started with Digilog Samulnori will continue to evolve.</p>

<p>The global launch show for Samsung&#8217;s new cell phone, WAVE, held  at Barcelona, Spain, on February 14, 2010, was also the event at which  d&#8217;strict unveiled the world&#8217;s largest media façade &#8211; using four walls at  the same time. The fantastic video show unfolded on a screen consisting  of four inner walls, each of which measured 33m in width and 8m in  height, receiving an enthusiastic reception from the participants and  media representatives from all around the world.</p>

<div><strong>Media Façade with Simultaneous Use of Four Inner Walls</strong><br />
The theme of the launch show for Samsung&#8217;s WAVE cell phone was  “Ocean”. The spectators were guided into a large room whose four walls  were turned into a 360-degree media façade forming a vast canvas, where  they enjoyed an opportunity to experience the world under the sea. They  were then surrounded by a 3D video work presented on the room&#8217;s four  huge walls, giving them the impression that they&#8217;d been invited to the  very depths of the oceanic kingdom.</p>

<div><strong>Stereoscopic 3D with Ultra Realistic Effect</strong><br />
The media façade used for the WAVE launch show did not feature  ordinary beam projection but rather a next-generation technique that  helped make possible 3D screening of the walls of the event hall and  present 3D moving images on them, fascinating the viewers with a  remarkably powerful 3D effect consisting of protruding or sunken walls.  The moving images of the media façade were completed after an elaborate  working process to make them appear as close to reality as possible,  resulting in a work that created a sense of depth and dynamic movement,  allowing viewers to feel as if they were actually visiting the world  under the sea and exploring its wonders.</p>

<div><strong>Plausible Storytelling in Solid Organization</strong><br />
The media façade show was more than just a series of fragmentary  moving images designed to attract viewers&#8217; attention: All the scenes  from the opening performance to the conclusion of the presentation were  arranged according to a flawless storyline which informed the viewers  about WAVE via a thrilling journey through the underwater world. The  show was able to dramatically increase the viewers&#8217; concentration on the  strength of its consistency and plausibility, giving them the same  level of satisfaction they might get from a well-made drama.</p>

<div><strong>HYPER FAÇADE, Architecture Display of a New Level</strong><br />
The remarkable success of the WAVE launch show was in fact  greatly indebted to HYPER FAÇADE, the latest UX product from d&#8217;strict.  Having fully proven its potential at fashion shows and environmental  campaigns held in Korea, the product is characterized by the  three-dimensional screening of the inner and outer surfaces of a  structure, such as a building, to create a work composed of 3D moving  images. As an illusory space inspired by a space in the real world,  d&#8217;strict&#8217;s HYPER FAÇADE is widely acclaimed as a highly advanced UX  product featuring the 360-degree presentation of moving images and an  advanced form of architectural display in which a plausible story is  combined with fully developed technological capability.</p>

You can see a calm and ordinary street in the UCC video, whichseems to be filled with ordinary people enjoying a casual jog,employees moving objects, and a woman fiddling with a mobile handset.All of a sudden, a siren goes off and this mundane street scene isdrowned in waves of conspicuous Corby colors, turning it onto afairyland of the kind we only see in our dreams. The man sitting on thechair rides on the crest of colorful waves on a skateboard, while thewoman tying a shoestring suddenly finds herself inside a giant bubblepleasantly floating over the waves. Another man walking in the streetis transformed into a guitarist and plays music passionately, and thewoman watching her mobile handset mutates into a rocket man, and soresinto the sky leaving a long trail in her wake. The people on the streetare abruptly transformed into characters with distinctive personalities.<br />

<p><strong>Culture Code of youth, Corby</strong></p>

<p>Corby CF is designed to arouse viewers&#8217; curiosity about whether itis a general UCC video or an actual advertisement. The combination of aUCC with an advertisement successfully stimulated the curiosity ofteenagers and youths in their 20s, Corby&#8217;s main customers, because UCCis one of the primary concerns of young people. Subsequent to the UCCvideos, distinctive colors reminiscent of candy succeeded in capturingthe attention of youth immediately, and the concept of Corby &#8211; dynamismand freshness &#8211; was also successfully expressed.<br />

<p>d&#8217;strict has implemented interdisciplinary R&amp;D for several years to maximize the user&#8217;s experience in the field of creative development, digital &amp; analogue integration, technology, and brand space performance and management. The global launch event for Samsung&#8217;s Corby, which was held in Milan, strategically demonstrated with d&#8217;strict&#8217;s interdisciplinary R&amp;D outputs in an physical space.</p>
<p>The success of the Corby project does not limit itself to the combination of creativity and technology. The Corby global event has been recognized as an innovative experimental marketing practice which interconnected a physical space  (Touch I platform in the orange room) with an online &amp; mobile (email and mobile application) convergence, and was made possible via a strategic scenario.</p>
<p>d&#8217;strict first decided on a launch show in the form of a fashion show catwalk in view of the Milan Fashion Week, reflecting the lifestyle of Corby target users, who are young, creative, fashionable, and speedy. It then added diverse interaction techniques and a mix of analogue and digital presentation within a campaign focused on the younger generation&#8217;s fashion and style icons. By doing so, the Corby launch show was able to innovatively redefine conventional business presentation, which would otherwise have been relatively dull and ordinary.</p>

<p><strong><span style="color: #ff0000; font-size: 13px;">18M long, Real-time Gesture Sensing Hologram Runway</span></strong></p>
<p>d&#8217;strict opted for a 4D art-hologram runway for the Corby launch show. It was aimed at maximizing the effect of the performance by combining digital technology with analogue performance art. The performance was also significant in that it commercialized media art, previously known only to a select few, for diffusion to the general public.<br />
Both sides of the 18m-long catwalk for the fashion show were surrounded with holograms, producing diverse effects through active interaction with the models on the stage. The performance was organized so that 550 audiences on both sides of the stage would be able to see it.</p>

<p>d&#8217;strict used its gesture-sensing hologram, SEE H, to make the holographic images react to the models walking aloing the 18m-long stage. Rather than simply &#8220;showing&#8221; enormous holograms, it demonstrated how holograms can interact in real-time with the models. Each hologram was created as a 3D image to make it seem as if the models were touching real objects.</p>

<p><strong><span style="color: #ff0000; font-size: 13px;">Corby&#8217;s Product Presentation with Voice Sensing Technology</span></strong><br />
At the product presentation which followed the character performance, SEE H was again used to convey accurate information on Corby&#8217;s diverse functions. A holographic image reacting in real-time to the presenter&#8217;s motions, combined with a voice-sensing function, created holographic letters which appeared to float around the presenter&#8217;s mouth, forming themslves into the words he was saying. The sensitive sensing technology also changed the size of the letters according to the volume of the presenter&#8217;s voice. By using a sound-sensing technique to generate a reaction from the audience and interacting with them, the launch show changed the once-unilateral form of presentation to a communicative format by using sounds and holograms.</p>

<p><strong><span style="color: #ff0000; font-size: 13px;">Online &amp; Offline Integrated Campaign with TOUCH I </span></strong><br />
Another very popular session was the participatory program using d&#8217;strict&#8217;s TOUCH I. TOUCH I is a UX platform which uses Microsoft&#8217;s multi-touch screen, Surface, as the basis for connecting various items of wireless equipment with outer screens. The program was organized so that the participants would be able to experience Corby more closely, aided by a holographic presentation.<br />
The participants were very excited about being able to see pictures of themselves taken with a digital camera and an image of Corby with the simple motion of a hand, as well as being able to print out and send these images via email or cell-phones.<br />
Corby practice overcame the limitations of offline presentations, which are normally limited to physical space, owing to the instantaneity and online-connectivity made possible with a diverse UX platform and technology. This type of experimental marketing, which combines online and offline presentations, is expected to be widely adopted in future event promotions.</p>
